Quest Speciality offers a wide range of courses covering a multitude of disciplines. Courses cover everything from learning the basics surrounding coffee and chocolate, all the way to Speciality Coffee Association Coffee Skills and CVA certified trainings.

Introduction to Coffee

SCA (Speciality coffee Association) Introduction to Coffee - suitable for any one interested in Specialty Coffee - Price for this course is From 1200 SEK without SCA exam and 1600 SEK with SCA Exam.

Introduction to Coffee provides new coffee professionals and consumers insights into the  specialty coffee value chain and introduces key concepts in history, farming, processing, roasting, sensory assessment, and brewing. Participants will also engage in tasting exercises to understand how decisions made along the value chain impact the final cup.

Our course includes the SCA Certification fee.  However, you are required to pay a additional E25 SCA Student enrolment fee direct to the SCA. (details of how to register and pay this
will be provided)

This is a theory based course - there are no practical barista or brewing skills - just a short tasting session.

Length: Half-day 4 hour
introduction course. 9:30am to 1:30pm.

Max capacity: 4 people

After the course: There will
be a short written exam with a pass rate of 60% - This is a multi choice exam. If successful you will receive a certificate from the SCA.

Notes: Pricing includes VAT and the SCA examinations and certification.

Barista Foundation, Intermediate & Proffesional

SCA Barista Foundation - certified course
for beginner Baristas. 2.800 SEK (includes SCA Student fee that allows you to take the SCA examination to secure your first certifcation). For Intermediate & Professional the Foundation must be completed.

This course is the start of a great career in coffee as a Barista Proffesional. You will learn key barista skills so you can

•Understand how to set-up and dial your grinder.
• Understand the art and science of brewing delicious espresso.
• Understand how to foam and texture milk.
• Understand and start to draw latte art.

Understand the importance of hygiene and cleanless in your routines as barista. You will also learn the  basic information regarding equipment care.

What to expect: Length: 1-day course from 9:30 am to 3:30pm (approx.)

Group size: Max 4 students on the Foundation level courses.

Morning Session:  Theory and knowledge development.

Afternoon Session: Practical skills
and examination: As well as a basic
practical examination during the day, this course also has a written exam which should be completed within 21 days of the course completion. 

Home Barista

This course is the start to becoming a great home barista! You will learn key barista skills so you can

•Understand how to set-up and dial your grinder.
• Understand the art and science of brewing delicious espresso.
• Understand how to foam and texture milk.
• Understand and start to draw latte art.

Understand the importance of hygiene and cleanless in your routines as barista. You will also learn the  basic information regarding equipment care. And, if you wish, even get a special discount on a Rancilio Silvia X pro and Style grinder!

What to expect: Length: 1-day course from 9:30 am to 3:30pm (approx.)

Group size: Max 4 students on the Foundation level courses.
